Flamingo Blu is an amazing beachfront vacation estate located 30 minutes north of Tamarindo on the golden sand of Flamingo Beach. Flamingo’s coastline is much steeper than Tamarindo’s, which means that this property is both on the beach and in the mountains at the same time. It’s one of the most beautiful and uniquely-designed vacation rental properties you’ll ever find. For one, the home, which has 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 13, is round. At its center is a green, grassy, circular courtyard into which the other spaces in the home open through double glass doors.

Air and light flow easily through this home’s magnificent spaces as the warm breeze lifts from the ocean to the hillside. You’re going to love the local hardwoods that are incorporated into Flaming Blu as textured ceiling beams, custom frames, and hand-carved doors and totem-style columns in the living and dining area.
There is a private bath in each of the five rounded bedroom suites. Three of the rooms offer king-size beds, one has two twins that can combine into a king, and the fifth bedroom is a bunk room. Of course a/c and wifi are present in all of the bedrooms and throughout the house.

Flamingo Blu has an intentional focus on mindfulness and repose. For this reason, there is only one television in the home–a 42” flat screen television located in a dedicated “media room.” The Media room is a large space filled with bean bag chairs and comfortable couches where you’ll gather for movie night or to watch the news together in the morning. As the purpose of this room is togetherness, there is enough room for a full house to lounge comfortably.

You’ll have several cooking options during your stay at Flamingo Blu. A fully equipped kitchen inside the home contains an oversized refrigerator and all of the appliances and other items you’d expect to find in the kitchen of your home away from home. A chef’s kitchen that is separate from the rest of the house is reserved for use by the caterer or private chef you hire to prepare meals for you. And last but not least, outside on the deck beside the pool, a full mini-kitchen with a rotisserie BBQ contains everything you need plus lots of prep space.

Flamingo Blu is surrounded by ocean-view terraces, and its infinity pool seems to spill down the mountainside. Bask on cushioned loungers on the sun deck that curves around the pool, and take in the mesmerizing panorama of mountains, ocean and sky. There’s really no reason ever to leave this terrace because the daytime’s favorite sunbathing spot becomes the place you will sit to presence the spectacle of Flamingo Beach sunsets. A private beach access stairway descends from this pool terrace to the sandy beach below. The beach in front of Flamingo Blu is not a private beach, but it looks and feels like one!
1.5 acres of green area surround this amazing home with a colorful variety of exotic flowers and trees. Nature lovers will be enthralled by the array of birds and butterflies that visit the property’s gardens. Howler monkeys, lazy iguanas, a few stray land crabs and the property’s resident cat agree that Flamingo Blu’s grounds are an excellent place to be.
